Have you tried pressing F9 to refresh the view? It sounds like update/updall is not running during the day so the view is not getting refreshed. My guess is that no indexing is being done during the day until 2 AM. What is on the ServerTasks line in the INI? Another possibility is that the view properties is set to not be refreshed more than once a day.

p.s. No I have not seen that as part of an upgrade.
